robert plant - C or D

i do like led zep but he makes it really hard for me to LOVE them out and out. great band but what an annoying singer. he has good moments as a vocalist, generally when doing folk-rock songs like those on IV but everywhere else, he really is quite an irritating little shit. things that annoy me about plant - too much affectation, posturing, severe try-hard-ness, poor blues-singer imitations, the sound of someone prissy trying to sing with force when they have none of the vocal weight or gravitas to do it justice, also some of the worst, most eye-rolling adlibs ive ever heard.

he just sounds a bit silly, generally.
