Isn't it?

If Haines really prefers the first album to this one he is nutso. Genius, evil nutso.

I will be doing After Murder Park next, to celebrate this one getting 5 votes.

I'm more excited about an After Murder Dark poll, it's true.

My favorite Luke Haines project, period. Voted for "Chinese Bakery," which is the anti-Saint Etienne.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Sunday, 27 January 2008 16:09 (eighteen years ago)

"New French Girlfriend" is perhaps the most beautiful song that Haines ever has written.

Underground Movies.

One of my favorite bands.

My least favorite Auteurs album for some reason. I consider myself among his biggest fans, so I feel pretty left out here.

"Chinese Bakery"

I bought this about 10 years ago for $1. I remember liking "Chinese Bakery" a lot.

Such few votes...

zeus, Friday, 1 February 2008 12:24 (eighteen years ago)

four months pass...

After owning and listening to this one for a few years, it's finally struck me as a pretty amazing recording. Tracks like "Brainchild," "I'm a Rich Man's Toy" and "Underground Moives" are so effective.

three years pass...

when I tried to write songs in the mid nineties I imitated the structure of "Chinese Bakery" so often.
