That's right, all four of Dave Edmunds' Swan Song albums are killer.

To me, Edmunds didn't totally lose his way until he signed with Columbia. DE7 was equally as good as the Swan Song years, but soon after that, he started farting around with synths and that was the last I remember of him...

I saw him shortly after 9/11 playing in some bar in Tribeca. He had had some sort of near-death experience (heart attack?) and had recently started playing fingerstyle. Of course the best moment was when something was wrong with one of his acoustic or semi-acoustic guitars and he switched to an electric and played "Crawling From The Wreckage."
