The turn of the decade. Not a good vintage IMO, but there are still some nice songs in here as always.

Voted "Question". A great song from an even greater album.

Geir Hongro, Monday, 4 February 2008 02:10 (seventeen years ago)

band of gold, surely.

or something, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 01:39 (seventeen years ago)

That's arguably the most diverse chart you've posted Geir.

Billy Dods, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 02:39 (seventeen years ago)

1970 was an extremely diverse year, music was kind of schizo around that time, between the psych twee of the late 60s and a more "down to roots" approach that would be the norm later.

The cross dresser one.

For all I know, more than one of these songs is on that topic.

Voted Desmond Dekker before I noticed The Jackson Five. I may well have voted for Dekker anyway.

Extremely dominated by Motown and Motown-related music. But then, when you look at it, it's understandable as those are all great songs from an otherwise not so great year.

Geir Hongro, Monday, 11 February 2008 19:52 (seventeen years ago)

I would have voted Question also, if I had voted.

I went for the winner. Though I find it mildly disturbing that "All Right Now" got any votes at all (and, say, "Tears of a Clown" didn't).

February Callendar, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 00:43 (seventeen years ago)

"Tears Of a Clown" must have lost to the fact that it wasn't really a 1970 song.
