The greatest jungle track ever ...

I just bought a 10 old jungle retrospective compilation at the airport!

Anyway, just to be clear. Wasn't "Fire" by Prizna & Demolitoin Man the BEST jungle track of all time. I'm dancing around like a mad E fueled teenager again ...

choosing great jungle/hardcore tracks is like shooting proverbial fish.

as for hardcore, my vote still goes to "euphoria (nino's dream)" by the house crew; jungle: it's still "dred bass."

For jungle it's gotta be FBD Project's "She's So" or Dillinja's "Angels Fell".

Yes, Angel's Fell gets my vote. The two tracks on the B side of that 12 inch were fantastic too.

Another vote for Dillinja, though Photek's "Hidden Camera" is up there, too (if you wanna stretch the whole definition of the genre).

OK, fine, and the Grooverider remix of Adam F's "Dirty Harry". (shrug)

Gotta go with 'Shadowboxing' - Nasty Habits.

The best jungle track has yet to be written. It'll be a holiday number one by either Roni Size or Goldie and it'll be called Jungle Bells.

Suffice to say, I am very, very tired.

h'core: Acen, "Trip II the Moon Pt. 1 & 2"
j'ngle: Omni Trio, "Mystic Stepper" (by which point we're out of h'core and inna j'ngle, right?)

I'm probably unduly influenced by its recentness, but my vote goes to Silent Depths by Teebee. The single I go back to most often is probably True Stories by Krust.

Phil, which version of "Fire" is that? original or Rogue Unit remix?
just curious

also, if you like Demolition Man, who i think is doing the (animating!) ragga chant/rap on there - you may want to check out berserk UK garage track London Dodgers - "Down Down Biznizz", which may have the same dude on it. Locked On has just reissued the London Dodgers track on a couple of 12"s with remixes. The DND remix 12" has the original vocal & dub mixes too.
i'm with you on the jumping around to "Fire"!

(fave Jungle? tough... maybe still "Open Your Mind (Foul Play remix)"? also partial to Droppin' Science Vol 2 and... no, don't get me started)
