Noting Radiohead's "In Rainbows" schema and taking the path slightly less travelled! (warn: Chris Rea)

He's not without precedent in this: his most recent collection was a 'history of the blues 11CD set (all new tracks, all self written) (with DVD documentary) for £40 or some such low price.

Now? He's gone and produced his own 'discbox' with two 10" albums and three CDs, inside a heavy duty 12" square book, and knocking them out for £35.

It's basically a 'story of a surfguitar band' that goes over to 'the blues', and that's all I know. All the shop copies are shrinkwrapped, but man it looks a cool set, and less 'studious' than the 'blues' thing.

I'd love it to be great! But again, I'm not buying one to find out!

I have to say I preferred the Reameister when he was ultra-glossy/having hits/the John Nettles of pop (i.e. reliable and cosy carpet slipper).

Does he actually do anything else other than drive places?

(Yes, Dom, obviously, he makes big albums!)

it's a really really nice package
haven't played the 10" records yet, but there's some greta blues on there. If you like that sort of thing
