I remember hearing Rock the Casbah for the first time, going "hey, this sounds like that Will Smith song!". Actually, listing to Will2k on Youtube, it's aged pretty well.

ok, i listened to all them on youtube before making my choice. it was a hard decision. "wild wild west" is a classic just for the video, "summertime" is the best coolio song coolio never wrote, just cruisin' is flat out terrible. but my choice was "will 2k", just for the "hold up, it is" line. get's me every time.

most of these songs are kinda wack versions of the originals, i dont know why it doesnt bother me on 'jiggy'

wow, I never realized he had that many hits and mucg more than most "serious" acts (whatever the genre of music), like all these "best of" from artists who only had like 1 or 2 hits...

anyway, it's indeed surprising there's no "shake the room" (which makes him get to another category : the artists who have so many hits/such a long career that there's always some hits missing on their "best of").
maybe "summertime" then.

like all i remember of jiggy is will sliding back on forth on a treadmill in a shiny suit over a boring-but-danceable sample. was dude srsly at his best as a rapper in the late 90s? i totally buy that, i had just never considered it before.

"Jiggy" has some of his best-delivered lines! There's a wonderful energy and confidence, really the entirety of the first verse is pure genius.

"Wild Wild West" is my favorite though. Some great lines, killer use of the samples (obvious but hey, those were the years for it), and it actually makes it seem like the movie would be really fun.

Didn't see this til now. Would have definitely gone with "Summertime," but the winner is pretty great too (as are a few others.)

yah dude i love sister sledge and the orig tune i just hate that jiggy goes the boring route and straight loops the (albeit awesome) bassline
