Well there is now. New album out on Neurot Recordings. It's less heavy on the guitars than the previous albums. Anyone else here like them?

New album has two of my UK guitar heroes Kavus Torabi and James Sedwards in one place, right? I guess that makes it a must-buy. I like Black Oni and Five Suns a lot, and Towers Open Fire some.

less heavy on the guitars = more organ? Alweays like to hear new stuff by these dudes tho they're best in the live 'arena' IMO.
Discovered the other day that two of them used to be in a band from round my way with the main dude from The Cinematic Orchestra - weird

What band is that? They have other projects like Æthenor and Miasma & The Carousel Of Headless Horses

This is that sort of endless, meandering fusion Guapo, right? I listened to their Five Suns album and thought "My dad would really like this," so I gave him my copy. Worth tracking down again? (He did really like it, though, so I feel good about that. And since he's on ILX, he may respond here.)

i wish someone would reissue the early stuff. but black oni and five suns were pretty cool, and i liked their bit of the cerberus shoal split.

I think the other stuff is getting vinyl reissues. Black Oni lp is out and Five Suns later in the year, the rest to follow I believe.

Is this the thread where I mention that I was the founder member, left under a cloud 3 years ago, now dislike all the records I made with them and am happy to dish the dirt? btw if you like the later records don't bother with the earlier ones - they're inept and boring.

Dish the dirt!

Old band I was talking about were called Crabladder, they were an early-90s Welsh punk band.
A Guapo dude used to post here under the name 'udu wudu' - this is going back a while so might even be our man above. Matt?

Ah yeah that was me, before I left the band I think. Can't be bothered to dish the dirt actually, suffice to say I'm very glad I'm not involved any more. Coincidentally I'm selling all my old Guapo records on ebay at the moment, get bidding! May as well get something useful out of it, eh?

I actually noticed that stuff on sale last night. Might bid on a few if i can afford it.

Why did you leave the band?
