Easiest poll ever.

chap, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 12:47 (seventeen years ago)

this poll is some weird apples & valencia oranges & navel oranges shit.

Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 12:50 (seventeen years ago)

they sing the hooks each one of them - wise up

jhøshea, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 12:52 (seventeen years ago)

yeah but it's still 2 dudes cut from more or less the same cloth + 1 dude who was in a completely different lane for over a decade before either of them

Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 12:53 (seventeen years ago)

its ok they all make hits - nate is the prototype

I haven't listened much to Akon or T-Pain, but I bet they've never released a solo album as good as this.

Tuomas, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 13:52 (seventeen years ago)

"I Got Love" = total classic jam, always meant to check out that album

Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 14:06 (seventeen years ago)

solo albums are the last thing you guys need to be contemplating in regards to this important question

jhøshea, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 14:11 (seventeen years ago)

there's nothing to contemplate, it's Nate no contest.

Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 14:17 (seventeen years ago)

When Akon or T-Pain are part of a song as classic as "Ain't No Fun", then this might be a contest, but until then, c'mon.

Nate Dogg is about to make Akon and T Pain turn cold.

HI DERE, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 14:55 (seventeen years ago)

im not sure whether its worth the effort to register a bunch of new accounts and vote for tpain just to piss off rap nerds - should have a poll?

also rap nerds which is worse akon or tpain?

jhøshea, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 14:57 (seventeen years ago)

I pretty sure most if not all of the rap nerds here like at least one or both.

The Reverend, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 14:59 (seventeen years ago)

if you want to know whether Akon or T-Pain is more popular here perhaps an AKON v T-PAIN poll would've been a good idea.

Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 15:01 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah, I don't think it's a matter of rap nerddom rather than the fact that Nate Dogg has had 15+ more years of time to do classic tunes, so it's kinda unfair to compare the other two to him.

Tuomas, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 15:01 (seventeen years ago)

you guys are really missing the beauty of the thing - i mean maybe it would just be best if we all voted for tpain

he has a funny hat

jhøshea, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 15:04 (seventeen years ago)

i don't really hate akon or t-pain. it's just a shame they have to be on every single song nowadays...but honestly t-pain saves that new "boss" song by rick ross with the hook, and akon was great on "sweetest thing" by wyclef and the 50 killa joint too

but you know, nate dogg could have never sung another word since "regulate" and he'd still win this by a mile.

nate's bowler would still win over t-pain's top hat

and what, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 15:50 (seventeen years ago)

is that some kind of nate patrin/nate dogg hybrid hook singing furry?

Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 15:55 (seventeen years ago)

i mean, if we're talking who would I want on my hook in general? that's not that easy...but if we're talking catalog, impact, classic tracks, etc....yeah Nate Dogg wins for "Hold up...." alone.

jhøshea, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 17:22 (seventeen years ago)

i'm actually gonna vote for nate dogg because even from this decade '21 questions' and 'can't deny it' and probably even 'area codes'> anything t-pain's done except maybe 'i'm a flirt' or 'buy you a drank'

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 12 March 2008 17:24 (seventeen years ago)

lol also 'next episode'

[Nate Dogg]
It ain't really dat hard, to get fucked up
Its really quite easy, just step up
I'ma knock him so hard, on his butt
Just like he been drinkin, like he drunk
The fat bitch stood up, just stood up
She bout to be steamin, turn it up
You wont hear a thang, know you won't
You too busy sleepin, won't wake up
You can't deny it

guys, there is no "Regulate era," only "Regulate...G Funk Era."

Alex in Baltimore, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 18:09 (seventeen years ago)

I think we need a poll like this every once in awhile, to unite us, to remind us why we are all here together in the first place. Bless you, Nate Dogg.

nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 18:17 (seventeen years ago)

dude, I specifically remember rolling out of my high school parking lot and listening to this song and wondering who this Fabulous fellow was...

HAHAHA 1 VOTE

stephen, Saturday, 15 March 2008 01:46 (seventeen years ago)

I wouldn't say that's more contrarian than voting for T-Pain. I like Akon (when he isn't being a total douche *ahem "Sorry, Blame Me"*) more than T.

The Reverend, Saturday, 15 March 2008 02:07 (seventeen years ago)

Nate Dogg is the CCR of rap.

The stic.man from the hilarious 'Dead Prez' albums (some dude), Wednesday, 12 November 2008 15:07 (sixteen years ago)

one year passes...

Will Nate Dogg, the owner of perhaps the treacliest, most sonorous, and arguably most soulful voice, of any living vocalist, ever record again?

I for one think his stroke/ convalescence has been one of the greatest losses music has suffered in the last couple of years.

And it's such a shame that now they're all being forced to use his poor relation (literally Butch Cassidy) who even when he's good- such as on 'More Malice's 'So Gangsta, comes nowhere near Nate.

Tell me I aint alone.
