42. Pixies - Hey
43. Wire - Mannequin
44. Broken Social Scene - Anthems For a Seventeen Year Old Girl
45. Joe Jackson - I'm The Man
46. King Crimson - Book of Saturday
47. Genesis - Anyways (ok I repeated this band. you all can repeat also)

So do you understand what type of songs usually make my playlists (if you want to participate in this thread)? A little more upbeat or poppy but not annoyingly so... and stuff that isn't really played on the radio but kinda have that 'single' quality to them. Music that doesn't generally get annoying after lots of listens. Please Participate. I'm always looking for new music :)

48. OMD - Maid of Orleans
49. The Smiths - This Charming Man
50. Robert Wyatt - Dondestan, The Age of Self, East Timor, A Sunday in Madrid
51. Stereolab - Cybele's Reverie
52. His Name Is Alive - Here Forever Always Now
53. Wilco - Jesus Etc.
54. U.N.P.O.C. - I Love You Lady Luck
55. My Bloody Valentine - Loomer, When You Sleep
56. Led Zeppelin - The Crunge
57. Roxy Music - Pyjamarama
58.

The songs on my playlists usually have a bit of a weirdness/originality to them as opposed to straight up rock numbers or terribly catchy indie songs. Unfortunately my last hard drive got deleted so I don't remember all the songs I used to love.

thanks for mentioning The Lines song, I never heard it before and it sounds good.

58. Badly Drawn Boy - Cause a Rockslide
59. The Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored
60. The Zombies - I Want Her She Wants Me
61. Rory Erickson - You Don't Love Me Yet
62. Sufjan Stevens - John Wayne Gacy Jr.
63. Karate - With Age
64. The Cure - Love Cats

Now I'm trying to think of less annoying songs (than say some of the ones that I mentioned that are a bit too catchy) that still have that 'single vibe' and aren't too weird. I think I reached an end of songs that make it onto my mix cds (granted - the last 20 or so were ones I put on old mix cds and I might not use as much now). This ends my list.

It's hard to find songs that I like enough to hang onto nowadays. That's why I was asking for suggestions of your favorite songs.

CaptainLorax, Tuesday, 25 March 2008 21:58 (eighteen years ago)

I'm gonna bump this for one more day.. I thought most people liked shoving their favorite songs down other peoples throats, more or less. The point being, If you can cater to me (your audience), I'll be forever grateful. Just list off some songs I might like starting at 65 please.
