i love the way she sings it, as if it might be ethereal and soothing when it is in fact A BABY CRYING ON THE BUS

(piano intro) "Oogum boogum baby you're casting yer drool on me"

The performance of the five 'Mad Donnas' on TOTP was mesmerisingly cringe-making, embarassing TV at it's...er, best/worst.

("the money on the bus goes clink-clink-clink" - I didn't know that bit!)

That performance was the most incredible thing I've ever seen, even as the crowd stood still. I loved the lead singer's carry-on regardless and just look very VERY serious attitude.

You can watch the video (in Flash) here.

Th e English original is a bit better (though the same).

From "the fiercely independent Shifty Disco recording company" (info@shiftydisco.com)'s spam letter:

"Our 'hit' is released TODAY. Available originally on the Star Harbour subscription service in February you may, of course, in your infinite wisdom already possess a copy of 'wheels on the bus' - a very rare, valuable, and collectable copy, the re-release has a b-side 'hush little baby' (you have to apparently) and you can't do things with the video (like you can) so watch, MAD DONNA will be everywhere annoying everyone all summer long ..... sorry, we need the money, hell there's even a bloody cassingle! Tell your friends to GO BUY."

The Turkish original isn't as sparklingly produced but one bit of it does go "arses arses" and is the source of much amusement in our new 'pad'.
