PS John Darinelle posts here! How cool is that? I was up late last night looking for a good music discussion forum, and I find out that the esteemed editor of that most excellent internet music zine, Last Plane to Jakarta, posts here, which of course makes this a great music forum. In fact it was he who inspired this post, by his claim that Slipknot's "Left Behind" is a great song. I'll go so far as to say it's pretty good, but it doesn't touch this one.

I wz going to mention Bodies, but it's a bit overplayed. Alive is p great, and redeems POD, a feat unthinkable after releasing Yoof of the Nation.

as someone who will apologize for a lot of the Mudvayne, POD and Deftones catalog, I can say that "Bodies" is fucking awful

System and Deftones need no apology; didn't Deftones come out with one of the best albums of this year?

Also I'll rep for "Dig" and "Not Falling" when it comes to Mudvayne. What I've heard of their recent work suggests they have fallen into the mope-rock hole, where Staind also reside, projecting the strained and mediocre.
― Brad Nelson (BradNelson), Tuesday, 28 September 2010 07:04 (fifteen years ago)
Also the two Disturbed songs ksh posted are the only two good Disturbed songs.
I have checked.

that Disturbed album isn't that bad actually. not great either, but decent sense of melody, and those two tracks are the high points for sure.
"Bodies" is a godawful song. sorry, it has to be said.
