What U.S. Radio Stations Are Playing the Avalanches' "Frontier Psychiatrist"?

The other day I saw on MTV an ad for the Avalanches' album, referring to "Frontier Psychiatrist" as a song that the viewer would have heard on the radio. DC-area radio is extremely bad, even by U.S. standards, so I was curious as to what stations (apart from college and likeminded Internet radio) would be playing this song.

It's getting a heavy push from the label but I've yet to hear it on commercial radio (and, ironically, it's far too mainstream to get much play on the college station here, although "Gimix" has been getting some play). Most modern rock stations, where "Frontier Psychiatrist" would break through (if you use the marketing of "Block Rockin' Beats" as the model), are exclusively devoted to either nu- metal or Creed shlock.

Looks like them signing to Elektra has already worked wonders. And good for them!

I cannot get their Ibiza radio mix out of my mind. Yee-ouch. It's my pick to click for the year so far, even though it was released last year (or the year before, can't remember).

WKNC 88.1, the NCSU college radio station, plays it.

worst avalanches song ever! the less stations play it, the better.(so long as they play other stuff... gimix is a good start. electricity would be great too - it was never released over there the first time around, so it's extra fresh.) it somehow improves massively in the context of the album, but on its own it's a clunky, 'kooky', mess.

The original film clip was much better too.

I think I'll have to chime in with the rest of the Aussies here in saying that Electricity is classic Avalanches, and, I think, holds up a whole lot better than their newer stuff.

I'd really be happy to never hear their last album ever again. It seems far too gimicky to stand the test of time I think (and I was totally suckered into it at the time.) Run DNA is really good, also.
