oh, i also have "banned in the usa," 2 live crew.

i had the cassingle of 'express yourself' by nwa.. i think it went when i sold all 80 of my cassingles for a pittance a number of years ago

my cassingle purchases were all in about an 18-month period between when vinyl stopped being widely available and when i finally gave in and bought a cd player.

i lost the yellow drop-proof walkman in a burglary. :(

ZTT were all over the cassingle.
they mainly consisted of remixes and extras that were unavailable elsewhere making them essential.
i used to have quite a few of them, but traded and passed onto ZTT collectors.
Also, Age of Chance did a couple when on Virgin. I still have those of course.
But the best I had was the 25 minute megamix for House Arrest by Krush.
i played that sucka to death.

My first cassingle: Bow Wow Wow's Your Cassette Pet, early 1981.

My most essential cassingle: the mammoth super-super-extended 15 minute version of "Two Tribes". (ZTT did a similar thing with "Close (To The Edit)".)

My final cassingle: must have been around 1992. Never bought many, just when they were being flogged off for 50p or so.

First cassingle would also have been Your Cassette Pet.
Last one - probably Afroman's "Because I Got High." Don't ask me why.
Least dispensable one - have all the ZTT ones still but the cassingle of Into Battle With The Art Of Noise is still the most crucial.
Tackiest cassingle: 4 HITS BY BUCKS FIZZ

Last one: "Interesting drug" by Morrissey, before I moved back home to a record player.
