does anyone know anything about this band? i picked up their new album in a store, looked at it long enough to realize it wasn't the old talking-heads-inspired band on nuphonic, put it back down. then i realized later it was on geoff barrow's label (which probably needs a thread of it's own) and that it had barely any presence on the interwebs (always a good sign)
so is this group good or what?

I bought their first 'un for a quid. Never played it for years, the gave it to a friend after he said he'd seen them live and they were great.
Not much help I know.

Fuzz Against Junk have some or at least one members of The Heads who are pretty killer if you like euphoric Hawkwind-inspired garagey mantra boogie epic nonsense. I've never seen The Heads play which I need to sort out but I saw Fuzz Against Junk last year and they were like a pub rock (as in, a band from the actual pub rock era) trying to 'do' Can, which was pretty endearing, although I wouldn't make any bold claims as to its lasting appeal

The Heads play London at the weekend. Then they're at Roadburn festival again the week after. Wish they would play Scotland.

Panther did a UK paperback that I wanna come across for a quid or less.
I've seen The Heads three times; once great, once bad, once indifferent.
