No Autistic Daughters Thread?

I just picked up the new cd, it's pretty damn great.

I'm wary of bringing up assosciations to late period Talk Talk but there is a definite similarity in arrangements and sounds.

four months pass...

i liked the last autistic daughters disc, i'll have to check this one out. dean roberts? martin brandlmayr? werner dafeldecker? polwechsel? not much here on ilx, and not a lot i can fill in other than superlatives--dean roberts has two of my favorite discs ever ("dean roberts and the black moths play the grand cinema," "be mine tonight"), brandlmayr is an incredible drummer (siewert/brandlmayr - too beautiful to burn), the whole polwechsel group is amazing, etc.

It's worth investigating, probably the best disc I've heard this year. I've been told they are touring Europe in October/November too.

I would like all the late period Talk Talk fans on ILM to hear this, I'm sure some of them would dig it, hey-ho.

As for those Dean Roberts albums, thanks, I never knew they existed!

yeah, those dean roberts discs are incredible. his voice is kind of eh, but the arrangements are above and beyond, very post-rock sounding at first, but a lot more sound-oriented. thela - argentina might be my favorite dean roberts-related recording, with dion workman and rosy parlane in the band, who have both gone on to do pretty fantastic work by themselves and with others after the fact. argentina is so so so so amazing.

I hate to ask, but would you mind doing me a quick scratch list of recordings to get?

It's lazy, I know!
Thanks!
