I know this isn't strictly (or maybe at all!) music related, but I know there are a few writers and stuff on here and I think it's quite an interesting topic! I was thinking today about little bits in magazines with lots of charm, little bits like the ones in the title:
Vice's Dos and Don'ts
The Face's Barometer + (later) Top Tens
Popbitch's Big Questions...
Loaded's Rogues
Some (like the Barometer / Big Questions) have been ripped off endlessly and become standards, some like Dos and Don'ts can't be really because they're so distinctive. Maybe all good magazines have their own? (I know Popbitch isn't a magazine but...) Jockey Slut and Select must have had them too but I don't remember them? Have I missed any more gems?

well, vice is chock full of 'charm', that's for damn sure.

I've seen a bunch of completely shameless ripoffs of Dos & Don'ts FWIW

Also PB's Big Questions is just the standard 'blind item' style, right?

I'm an innocent youf, I thought PB came up with the blind item. Maybe that was a little naive?
