All well and good about the Feelies reunion, but please make with the reissue of Crazy Ryhthms already, OK??!?

Kind of disappointing in regards to his attitude towards unreleased/bonus material. I understand wanting to keep the integrity of the original albums, but they should at least think about putting together a rarities and live comp ...

^Oh, yeah. It needs to be a separate album. They've got a small buttload (enough for a full LP and then some, I think) of non-album studio tracks, and there are a bajillion bootlegs that a dedicated curator could probably cobble together into one of the best "Best of - Live" albums ever made. I lie awake at night dreaming of those two albums coming out.

The one unfixable problem w/their live recorded stuff is unfortunately this: they were great live not so much because of radical reinterpretations of their material or on-stage charisma or anything, but because their live sound was obsessively-compulsively tweaked to absolute perfection. There is no live recording that's going to capture that, unfortunately.

dunno, i've got some pretty fucking awesome Feelies bootlegs. then again, i've never seen them live, so I might be coming at it from a different place ...

Not only am I dumb for not realizing that, I have those two friggin' reissues already! I just got a Google alert today that pointed me to that article. I had set it up to track the reissues of albums 3 and 4, but something got messed up in the translation. Never mind ...
