TAKIN' CARE OF BUSINESS

"What was not appreciated about BTO during their era has become much moreso appreciated today - they were different and ahead of their time, their two front men, Randy Bachman and Fred Turner, were large and burly, their look epitomized their "heavy truckin'" type sound. Many considered them to be a true guy's band, which was a real plus given the "less than masculine" tint that was in vogue among many of the bands during their era. Their music and legacy continues to live, as is evidenced by the fact that their songs have been featured in numerous movies and advertising campaigns."

strgn, Monday, 14 April 2008 05:40 (seventeen years ago)

strgn, Monday, 14 April 2008 05:40 (seventeen years ago)

were these guys hot?

strgn, Monday, 14 April 2008 05:41 (seventeen years ago)

If by "hot" you mean bearded, fat, and Candadian, then yes.

The Deacon, Monday, 14 April 2008 16:05 (seventeen years ago)

I went with "And we be...". The open-endedness of it appeals to me.

The Deacon, Monday, 14 April 2008 16:06 (seventeen years ago)

I think the proper line break is

There's a whistle up above 'n'
People pushin', people shovin'

and if so, I'd go with the first line.

I'd also like to say that

if it were easy as fishin'
you could be a musician

gets entirEley too much respect from the gallery

SecondBassman, Monday, 14 April 2008 19:45 (seventeen years ago)

You just gotta 'get in with the right bunch of fellows'. Priceless!

Bill E, Monday, 14 April 2008 22:06 (seventeen years ago)

the correct answer is "the 8 bar guitar solo between the 1st chorus and the 2nd verse"

Too bad I missed this poll. Presenting those lyrics an a totally jumbled order was quite an act of demented inspiration. I'd've voted for "It's the work that we avoid" because I never really understood it till now.
