Voting this one, since it's the only one I actually own:

Live sådan (1976 - live record) CBS 88207

As of today I'm going with the artsy Efter Endnu En Dag, but I've ordered Gas 5 which I hear is awfully good. May have to get a live one as well.

Kim Larsen's 1984 "Midt Om Natten" album is the only thing I care about by any of these guys.

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

C'mon people, this is going to be exciting! Bigger than the Beatles!*

Ha - ha, I presume the one title translates as "Live in Sedan" which no one in the US would know what to make of unless they played Avalon Hill board games on the openings of World War I and II.

The one I had isn't on this list: Gasolin', on Epic in 1976. Think it iwas domestic U.S. Tracks from three albums, incl. "What A Lemon," "The Last Jim," "Lonely Avenue. Robust rowdies, reeking of fine brew and spliffs, on rockers and ballads alike. Spirtual ancestors of Gogol Bordello, if more mainstream (Radio Copenhagen). Thought it was the one xgau picked, but looking it up on his site, I now notice he mentions some of it was in Danish; don't remember that at all, so maybe this is not the one he meant? Which would mean they had two great s/t comps on Epic in '76, a great thought.

dlp, I love you for this even though ILM gremlins snipped off the rest of your comment about indie fucker bitches.

I'm ashamed to admit, though, I've never heard anything by Gasolin'. But I will search diligently for them in your honor.

Thanks, and boo to the ILM gremlins!

Here's a good one to start with:

I've read that their fans hate this one, but I just love it to pieces. Might feel differently if it had been on the radio 24/7 when I was growing up. Kind of like Queen doing Wish You Were Here era Pink Floyd. Kind of.

Their first single. Could probably appear on Mutant Sounds without causing trouble:

Thank heaven there's always Net evidence to remind one why they went over like unexpected fresh dog crap in the Seventies.

Sigh.

Someone should have voted for "What a Lemon" just for sport.
