There's more to this album than the very famous opening and finishing tracks, really.

Sure, "Behind Blue Eyes" got some well-deserved attention through Limp Bizkit's (rather pointless) cover version. And that one (the original, anyway) is surely a great song. But my vote goes to "Bargain", another slightly underrated track on there.

i suppose the correct answer is 'won't get fooled again'

but, i'm voting for 'my wife'. funtastic

I was hoping for a poll that would attempt to predict the next unlikely-but-likely poll subject!

"Going Mobile" though, as the one that is more consistently in my head than any other Who song. Keep me moooooovin'!

"Bargain"

as in, "this is a bargain bin album"

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

"Bargain" = best use of a Who song in a Ford truck commercial

Romeo Jones, Monday, 5 May 2008 00:28 (seventeen years ago)

"Bargain" is right.

It's "Won't Get Fooled Again" people.

ablaeser, Monday, 5 May 2008 00:58 (seventeen years ago)

The lurkers will vote for that one anyway.

Geir Hongro, Monday, 5 May 2008 09:22 (seventeen years ago)

I always had a soft spot for "Getting in Tune".

steampig67, Monday, 5 May 2008 10:50 (seventeen years ago)

"Pure and Easy" but I guess Baba'll have to do

Niles Caulder, Monday, 5 May 2008 10:50 (seventeen years ago)

I always had a soft spot for "Getting in Tune".

Yeah me too. I'm going for 'Song is Over' though, love its pastoral feel.

Terry Meher

Oilyrags, Monday, 5 May 2008 14:15 (seventeen years ago)

Oh fuck, don't make me choose. OK, fine, "Baba O'Riley." Because where else does Terry Riley meet Milford Graves at a square dance?

Sara Sara Sara, Monday, 5 May 2008 14:51 (seventeen years ago)

Blimey, this poll hasn't had much love!

Bad title Geir!

(You know, if we reran this, no-one would notice!)

Mark G, Monday, 5 May 2008 19:52 (seventeen years ago)
