when the sun hits, cautiously. There are so many good tracks on this album, its really hard to choose.

i'm actually bummed i neglected to post the serene cover art.
ah well the mere titles are evocative enough

Charlie Howard, Monday, 28 April 2008 06:48 (eighteen years ago)

It seems 'When the Sun hits' is gonna win this easily, but I'll cast my vote for the other-wordly 'Sing'

Souvlaki Space Station

Mr. Snrub, Monday, 28 April 2008 10:48 (eighteen years ago)

The correct pick is clearly one of the first three tracks. Damned if I know which one though.

NoTimeBeforeTime, Monday, 28 April 2008 11:42 (eighteen years ago)

40 days is pretty awesome

baaderonixx, Monday, 28 April 2008 11:50 (eighteen years ago)

I think I've said this before, but I don't understand the love for this album. Don't get me wrong, there's good stuff on there, but in my opinion it's the worst of the three Slowdive albums. Anyway, carry on...

Sing, for me.

paulhw, Monday, 28 April 2008 18:41 (eighteen years ago)

For me, it comes down to "Machine Gun," "Souvlaki Space Station," and "Dagger." I really don't know which one I'll pick. Such a classic album, and I'm not even a huge fan of this type of music.

Reatards Unite, Monday, 28 April 2008 18:50 (eighteen years ago)

"Souvlaki Space Station" almost got my vote just for having THE GREATEST, MOST EPIC-SOUNDING INTRO of the Shoegaze era (and maybe ever). But after that it just becomes a bit samey IMO, so I had to go with Alison because it's a better "proper" song.

daavid, Monday, 28 April 2008 20:32 (eighteen years ago)

This will be a really tough bout between Souvlaki Space Station and Machine Gun.

mehlt, Monday, 28 April 2008 20:34 (eighteen years ago)

'machine gun' has that awesome chorus-like part with the amazing guitar effect. the first song that i heard by this band and it really made me sit up and listen and acknowledge that i was hearing something pretty special

Charlie Howard, Tuesday, 29 April 2008 11:34 (eighteen years ago)

I thought more people would take part in this poll.

baaderonixx, Wednesday, 30 April 2008 07:53 (eighteen years ago)

haha me too!
would be a pity if this sunk in the same fashion as my elliott smith poll

I guess I wouldn't put "Machine Gun" on top either, but it deserves more recognition than it got here, for the chorus alone.
