Lifestyle books - Geordie,Geri and Quentin Crisp

The late Mr. Crisp wrote something about style being about you knowing who you are and fashion being where you don't - thereby following others - or so I remember having read this in a lifestyle book from Woolies in Blackpool - contradictions abound, eh ?

Miss Halliwell is often slagged for reading self-help and lifestyle books which I think is unfair having found out about many a favourite book?film?record from 'The Book of Cool' ( thus I am uncool )- checkout my adult reading choices on the book thread - you do not come across these by chance in Byker. Maybe 'The Tao of Pooh' would have changed my life - but I keep running out of Rizlas.

Has anyone here ever gained anything from reading a self-help/lifestyle book and if so which one ?

TIP~1 - codeine linctus + just juice go well with Snoop Dogg's 'I Can't Swim'

I bought "Great Answers To Tough Interview Questions" and the next interview I went to I got offered the job on the spot.

Other than that, no. I think the more practical they are the better - books of 'wisdom' eg Little Book etc. are basically for people who wish horoscopes came out twice a day.
