dumb question: what's a good way to create and send a mix over the internet?

I mean I've made the mix in iTunes, now I just want to box it up and ship it to a friend via a series of tubes. What's the easiest/best way to do this?

Also, how do I take the files from iTunes and stick them in a folder for zipping so that the tracks stay in order?

hurting I use Stuffit for zips and UnRar for rar files.

oh and:

create folder on desktop

highlight all songs in iTunes

drag and drop to desktop folder

fix track titles in folder so that they are in order

that should do it. you may want to create a playlist and import the folder to make sure the tracks come up in the proper order.

When he imports the songs into his iTunes, what's going to keep them from scattering all over his library?

Hurting 2, Saturday, 3 May 2008 23:30 (seventeen years ago)

Should I tell him to import them into a specific playlist?

to zip on a mac you just right (or control) click the file/folder and select "create archive" or "compress __ items" depending on what OS you are using.

you have to export the playlist and the mp3s

so do the drag and drop mp3s as advised above then

select the playlist > file > export (as xml)

zip it all up and post it to sendspace or where ever

when yr friend gets it tell them to add the mp3s to their library first then the playlist using file > import

i do this all the time - fun!
