Is there anyone else in reggae who is capable of creating the mood that he does? S: everything I've heard, basically: Need to Live, Crucial Cuts, Miracle D: ??
What else are must haves?

Bim Sherman does indeed have a unique and beautiful voice, but it's hard to give you much guidance as most of the stuff I have by him is strewn across all sorts of compilations and what have you.
One album I had but lent to the wrong person was Miracle, which a bunch of sweet, mellow re-recordings with people like Talvin Singh: http://www.skysaw.org/onu/discography/bimshermandiscog-pt2.html#bs-onulp67
Oh yes, and Across the Red Sea is gorgeous.

"Haunting Ground" isn't quite on On-U (my copy's on a label called Century) but it might as well be, half produced by Adrian Sherwood, backing bands are Dub Syndicate and Roots Radics. FANTASTIC record.

I've been meaning to pick up the awesome looking comp on Pressure Sounds. Obv. search all the Singers & Players stuff (whether he was on it or not.)
