hi, have my degree fashion show next thursday and was wondering does anyone have ideas what runway song i cold use, looking for something upbeat but nostasgic, maybe something with like sampling of a woman form the 40's 50's reading a letter......if thats not specific enough, does anyone know where i could get my hands on such a smaple even?
i want something kindof maybe quirky , off kilter poignant but yet upbeat or that becomes progressivly upbeat, the collection is based on lingering nostalgia in domestic ruins, kind of about memories and human habitat in ruin.
plesase please please , im desperate any hints or suggestions would be great,.

By strange coincidence, the first track of DJ Shadow's excellent The Private Press ("A Letter From Home") is an old-fashioned sounding lady reading out a letter over crackly cocktail jazz.
