RIP Polar Studios. Oh wait.

Please note that Ace of Base originally comes from the lovely city of Göteborg. So does the Knife. And since those are the most interesting Swedish artists since Lill Lindfors, I would recommend you to go to Göteborg instead of Stockholm, should you ever have a desire to visit Sweden.

Check the accompanying article in the NY Times re: music festival in Morocco ("Rockin' The Casbah" -- yeesh) for even more DOA music writing. I mean, why not write about the music presented at the festival without the tired associations (Beatles/Hendrix/Zep/ a gnawa master's "mojo" MOJO?!?)? Who is this aimed at?

"The best moments arrived when a percussionist rocked his cowbell in a Christopher Walkenesque manner"

I say, do you remember that sketch on SNL 8 years ago when Christopher Walken spoke of bovine percussion instruments in such a humorous fashion? I shall have to work that into my next paid travel writing piece for The New York Times, for it would be ever so droll.

YES I AM JUST JEALOUS OK

Funny to read this thread as I have just returned from Stockholm. A beautiful city btw. but I wouldn't consider ABBA or Max Martin the most important reasons to visit it ;)
