have you seen them before?
― baaderonixx, Friday, 16 May 2008 15:11 (seventeen years ago)
Will they be playing "Under The Moon Of Love"?
― Dingbod Kesterson, Friday, 16 May 2008 15:19 (seventeen years ago)
If you've never seen them before, by all means go. If you saw them in the late '80s or early '90s (I've seen them four times: in '89, '90, '92 and I think '96), you can safely skip it as they've softened some in their old age.

Now they only tear up one floorboard.

I've seen them countless times and while their more recent material leaves me a bit cold, they've always been pretty amazing
― baaderonixx, Friday, 16 May 2008 15:32 (seventeen years ago)
Yeah, go. You have to see 'em at least once.

I can't make up my mind either. I saw them in Nov but the sound at the venue (Koko, London) was so rubbish I left half way through. I should go really.

You've no idea how sickening this is to non-Londoners: "What? Neubauten playing again? Mmm . . I dunno, should really stay in, wash my hair, alphabetise my CDs . ."

saw Blixa + Carsten Nicolai duo in SF last year. there was less shrieking but there was a lot of profoundly harsh squealing, pitchshifted up into needle registers -- fields of bad insects. every once in a while, blixa would mute the field of insects before a downbeat and say something like "...bommmmmmBASTIC." then the beat would kick back in. you should go.

Jochen Arbeit doing some kind of electronic improv set tonight. Should I go?

Neubauten playing in SF in a few weeks. Should I go?

I was at the London weekend a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it, the Saturday concert was more of a typical EN gig at a large venue. I've seen them a few times since about maybe '1996 and they *have* changed (even though I never saw them in their pyrotechnic heyday), but if you like the direction they've taken post Tabula Rasa I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
The Sunday concert was at a more intimate place, they showed some documentary films and then did roughly an hour of older or never before played material, things like Sand, GS even Seele Brent (which was incredible) I didn't stay around for the two solo sets so I cannot vouch for those (kinda blown away by seeing them in such a small place)

Wouldn't surprise me. The studio got sold a couple of years ago, and the last Supporter album ended up needing some of the supporter-only material (the Jewels album) going on sale to bail it out. Yeah, Musterhaus never went on commercial issue, but...
