are albums other than "Your New Favourite Band" by The Hives worth getting, if you already have "Your New Favourite Band"?

do none of you people like the Hives? What's your problem?

I like the Hives. Veni Vidi Vicious is ace. And under 30 minutes to boot.

hives are ace, their gigs are fun (really), their albums are great. imo, though, you should've purchased both original albums (barely legal & veni, vidi, vicious) instead of your new favourite band which is a pretty good compilation i guess, but too much is left out. barely legal might be a bit under-produced but some stuff is as good as most on veni, vidi, vicious.

The Hives are one band where the image actually enhances the music. Seen the videos yet? Goddamn!

They look like Los Lobos fronted by a Johnny Thunders-wannabe model named Brett Beautiful. This is not a complaint, I note.

the lead singer is the worst part about their image!

not Howlin' Pelle?

I've seen them twice and they give good show. Though to be fair, they've got one song and it sounds like something off a Nuggets compilation. Which is no bad thing.

one month passes...
I bought "Barely Legal" in Bristol's Sirrah! records... and it's not that good. It all feels a bit unformed, without the polish of Your New Favourite Band (even if many of the songs were cherry picked from it).

I'm still curious about Veni Vidi Vicious... given that it's the one that has Main Offender and Hate To Say I Told You So on it.
