This example seems like a pretty straightforward rip-off, since Timbaland didn't give any credit to the guy who originally wrote the tune.

My brother saw Hendrix in '67 (I have the poster) and claimed he said "this is a a song we wrote, and someone else recorded" and proceeded to knock out "Sunshine of Your Love".

I have a boot where they do the song (sans provocative comment).
