Well, what you hear on the clip there is his own words, which I thought would provide the best eulogy, even though you can call it propaganda. He was a proud member of (and propagandist for!) the IWW himself, so it seems quite appropriate for the IWW to claim his words for the cause.

This guy Clay Eals wrote a biography of Steve Goodman; I haven't read it, but he did a lot of interviews, incl "U.Utah Figment," as Rosalie Sorrels called him. In today's email, Eals says he used bits of the interview in different chapters, but now he's posted an extended edit of the original transcript on his site http://www.clayeals.com

Listening to a special Utah Philips tribute show on Sing Out! magazine's Radio Sampler, I think that's the name: tracks from a four-CD set, Starlight On The Rails (Rosalie, Jimmy Dale Gilmore, etc etc) with U's commentary between songs (that's not on the set, far as I know, but I recognize a lot of it from when he was on the show) They're prob archiving it, podcasting, or somebody else will put it up.

Oh-ho--also from when he was a guest, they're replaying Utah's own performances, which are more dependable than the tribute's covers, duh, though Jimmy Dale G. and some others are worth hearing.
