Phil da Agony was a made-up name on that "Worst MC Names" thread, right?

How dare you compare yourself to Jesus claiming you came to earth to save us?

Mate of mine claims that the second SSC album contains the line "I shoot you, but not with a gun... with a camera". I really hope that's true.

Mark G, Friday, 6 June 2008 10:27 (seventeen years ago)

My g/f sez one of the greatest moments of her life was being stood behind a blind guy rocking out to "You Don't See the Signs" at a Mark b and Blade show.

Raw Patrick, Friday, 6 June 2008 10:42 (seventeen years ago)

Still like the Feeder remix of it!

Although labelled as Post-Grunge, the album has a considerable Metal sound that, along with the then-current nu metal era, caused many to throw InMe into that genre. Most of the songs on the album have a dark feel to them and showcase the vocal range of Dave McPherson, from light to heavy to almost unintelligible growling and screaming. This can be heard in songs like Wounds and Natural.

Dom Passantino, Friday, 6 June 2008 10:52 (seventeen years ago)

As I've said before, our radio station Head Of Music spoke of his love of "heavy rock", and in particular bands like Reuben and InMe.

Just got offed, Friday, 6 June 2008 10:56 (seventeen years ago)

Did you try and school him by playing some of that bullshit unlistenable post-rock you like?

Dom Passantino, Friday, 6 June 2008 10:57 (seventeen years ago)

He wasn't having none of it either, maybe you should get in touch.

Just got offed, Friday, 6 June 2008 11:03 (seventeen years ago)

I'll play him "Eye On The Gold Chain" by Ugly Duckling.

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Friday, 6 June 2008 11:05 (seventeen years ago)

I've got both the 12"s of that.

It's funny when the Queen sez "a little bit".

Raw Patrick, Friday, 6 June 2008 11:16 (seventeen years ago)

Also saying unlistenable = you lose.

Raw Patrick, Friday, 6 June 2008 11:17 (seventeen years ago)

He's just challenging his Zing.

Just got offed, Friday, 6 June 2008 11:19 (seventeen years ago)

aldo, Friday, 6 June 2008 11:22 (seventeen years ago)

"bullshit shit" is some clumsy tautology for a high-grade music writer

Just got offed, Friday, 6 June 2008 11:22 (seventeen years ago)

Bullshit shit post-rock is the shit IMO

DJ Mencap, Friday, 6 June 2008 11:22 (seventeen years ago)

Never heard them on his show

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Friday, 6 June 2008 11:24 (seventeen years ago)

I'll check them out. You don't tend to like shit music even if you hate on fuckloads of good stuff.

Your Scroobius Pip review, while good, also had a tautology: you referred to student poetry slams twice.

Just got offed, Friday, 6 June 2008 11:26 (seventeen years ago)

Aaaanyway, I've just realised that on this computer there are two years' worth of Big Issue reviews I did circa 2000-02, so hold onto your hats for some golden nuggets!

“Why would you use a rock palette of guitar, bass, drums and keyboard? It would be like trying to run a race crippled.”
