Tried a search here and he seems pretty overlooked on ilm.
So, there are a brazilian lps floating around used bins for very little and I never, ever know which ones are worthwhile. Skipping the c/d discussion personally, but y'all feel free to go at it if ya like.
Eh?

Dunno if it's still in print, but I have a CD of Chester and Lester and another album they did together. Sweet stuff.
Also search: the Country All-Stars' Jazz From the Hills, with Atkins, Jethro Burns and other great players. On Bear Family

Lenny Breau (ballads, any way) is the first thing I thought of, but looking for less 'jazz' influence (so, also no Frisell) - any suggestions?

also interested in how prolific he is as a producer & session musician
like i think this is him playing lead & only pictures neck down first few seconds but so rare session musicians are credited in that era of country i guess

okay kids someone recommend me your fave chet atkins lps. looking for something instrumental and chill. i've been listening to the hilarious 80s jazzy ones on spotify with various yacht rock personel and i am after the OPPOSITE of that. think late night whiskey drinking chill vibes?

My favorite is Teensville, but that's Chet trying to make a rock n' roll record in 1960. If you're looking for lounge-y vibes, In Hollywood (mentioned way upthread) is good, if you can handle oceans of Mantovani-type strings. Also, After the Riot at Newport, a straight-ahead jazz outing you wouldn't necessarily even recognize as Chet:

if you liked In Hollywood I'd also strongly recommend Johnny Smith's Guitar and Strings.
