Well, all RIGHT!

Mark G, Tuesday, 10 June 2008 16:05 (seventeen years ago)

Weird guitar sound on so much of this album, quite avant, I wonder if Ed Kuepper was using funny tunings

Tom D., Tuesday, 10 June 2008 16:06 (seventeen years ago)

Erotic Neurotic.
What an album, what a band...

zeus, Tuesday, 10 June 2008 21:18 (seventeen years ago)

Mark G. OTM. I said exactly the same thing when I saw the headline.

If Timi Yuro would be still alive, most other singers could shut up, Tuesday, 10 June 2008 21:55 (seventeen years ago)

"Know Your Product" still tops the lot of 'em! (OK, apart from the title track...)

mike t-diva, Tuesday, 10 June 2008 22:46 (seventeen years ago)

Gotta be the title track for me.

The Saints have the dubious distinction of being the worst reformed 77 punk band I've ever seen live, 2005 or so. That was only 1 original member I think.

Colonel Poo, Wednesday, 11 June 2008 08:36 (seventeen years ago)

I think this is the typical "I don't vote for the standout track, because it's SO obvious" poll.
(The standout track is the title track of course.)

zeus, Wednesday, 11 June 2008 10:48 (seventeen years ago)

I don't think it's that obvious, there's "Messin' With the Kid" (the "New Age" style tearjerker) and "No Time" (insane head-on trainwreck between Quo+Stooges) and "The Story of Love" and "Nights In Venice" and so on. Then there's "One Way Street", which is possibly even better than The Stooges!

Tom D., Wednesday, 11 June 2008 10:52 (seventeen years ago)

title track easy

Herman G. Neuname, Wednesday, 11 June 2008 10:58 (seventeen years ago)

GREAT goddamn record, but there's absolutely no arguing with the title track. Best Punk single OF ALL TIME. No contest.

Alex in NYC, Wednesday, 11 June 2008 11:30 (seventeen years ago)

worst reformed 77 punk band
They never really reformed did they?
I thought Bailey's been touring and recording under the Saints name from the beginning.
I'll take your word about it being a lousy show though.

steampig67, Wednesday, 11 June 2008 14:24 (seventeen years ago)

Well I think it was touted as a reformation, at least their 1st UK tour for years? Maybe Chris Bailey took a few years off performing or something. It was total crap - don't think it'd be humanly possible to play a more lacklustre version of I'm Stranded than they did.

Colonel Poo, Wednesday, 11 June 2008 14:31 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

lols. But correct.

Raw Patrick, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 23:31 (seventeen years ago)

LOL, one-sided poll

Tom D., Thursday, 19 June 2008 09:40 (seventeen years ago)

"Nights In Venice" deserved better, but I couldn't NOT vote for the title track. It's right up there, what can you do?

mike t-diva, Thursday, 19 June 2008 09:43 (seventeen years ago)

wow, it would never have occured to me that i'm stranded would be such a stand out on this record. i think i would have voted for nights in venice had i not been confused about the roxy music poll

cw, Thursday, 19 June 2008 13:11 (seventeen years ago)

No Time desereves better

Zeno, Thursday, 19 June 2008 15:16 (seventeen years ago)

Should have done a "Other than the title track, ... " poll, and left it off the options...

Mark G, Thursday, 19 June 2008 15:23 (seventeen years ago)

I think you lot aren't listening to the rest of the album
