Just saw this and am kicking myself for not just grabbing one. What IS Greg Ginn up to these days?? I hear he fronts a jam band (called Jambang or something), a country rock band, and an instrumental rock band similar to Gone? Can this possibly be correct? Is any of it any good?
I was just surprised to see a SST sampler...

it's probably a benefit for the new SST Cat Shelter startup.

This disc continues with Mojack's out-there music. The songs have a solid groove while Greg Ginn and sax player Tony Atherton get all kinda freaky. If you're into music that pushes boundaries and doesn't conform, Mojack is for you.

Greg Ginn and the Taylor Texas Corrugators - "Goof Off Experts"
The title says it all about this group's whimsical approach to music on their second CD. In this instrumental stew of western swing, jazz, and blues, these corrugators bend and twist the sounds of down-home into a blissful mix of songs. The instrumentation of guitar, bass, piano, organ, and drums swing like there's no tomorrow. Inturrupted only by the periodic percolating of improvisational passages, these Goof Off Experts approach serious grooves with the playful attitude of the class clown.

Their debut release, CONNECTING, is the result of blending musicians and artists of varying genres and influences, united only by the common thread of their love of jambands and improvisation
I actually expected this to be a little worse
So, is Greg in all of these bands?

The new Mojack album (which is their fourth or fifth, I forget) is pretty great. It's called The Metal Years and does, indeed, have some metal to it, albeit more Last Exit than Slayer.

What I want to know is, what happened to those four albums that Greg was supposed to release a few years ago when he signed that distribution deal with Koch?

Also, dude needs to design his albums covers in something other than MS Paint. And lose the Comic Sans.
