Btw, anyone who likes Interstella 555 might like that 'rondo veneziano' video I posted above. It shares a similar aesthetic.

I saw a video on MTV back in the 90s. It was a metal band and they had made their own puppets going around killing things(?) like Puppetmaster movies. At least I think that's what the video was. It might have been claymation as well? 10 internet points to whoever knows what I'm talking about and can post the video.

O Supermanchiros (blueski), Thursday, 26 February 2009 21:34 (sixteen years ago)

Could it be this one captain?

Himsa - big timber

at least it involves puppets and killing... but your description is very vague.

Moka, Friday, 27 February 2009 02:26 (sixteen years ago)

btw here is a wikipedia list of music videos using animation. Course there's tons missing (I think almost everything suggested this far on the thread is not there) but still:

Moka, Friday, 27 February 2009 02:28 (sixteen years ago)

No but video is cool and fits my description. I think the video I was thinking about is going to be one of those things I'll never figure out (maybe there wasn't killing but now I remember a prison cell and just know that the video was dark and creepy.)

CaptainLorax, Friday, 27 February 2009 03:36 (sixteen years ago)

Umm...this may be kind of obvious, but it's not a Tool video is it?

Doctor Casino, Friday, 27 February 2009 03:41 (sixteen years ago)

yeah i had been watching the tool videos for the past few minutes trying to find it (is it just me or were they way better early in their career) - maybe my memory has changed, but I'm hoping thay if I do find it, I will know what it is. 90s videos4life

CaptainLorax, Friday, 27 February 2009 03:54 (sixteen years ago)

it probably was Tool that had my nostalgia running for such dark and dirty 90s videos, but unfortunately the specific video may have been Slipknot

CaptainLorax, Friday, 27 February 2009 04:12 (sixteen years ago)

i'm probably thinking of something totally unrelated to what I asked about. all my 90s video memories are mushed together. sorry buzzkill

Anyone see King Rat? Is this on here? It's the infamously "directed by Heath Ledger" Modest Mouse video. It's gory and excellent. I am at work so can't see any of these videos nor look for King Rat to post in here, but do check it out.
