Amy's a better singer and songwriter than the other two so i'mma vote for her. She's also a lot less boring to listen to.

Adele's Chasing Pavements song is really great.

Mordy, Saturday, 14 June 2008 18:56 (seventeen years ago)

Amy Winehouse is quite good. The other two are diabolically dull.

I know, right?, Saturday, 14 June 2008 19:06 (seventeen years ago)

Of course the answer is Winehouse.

Isn't Duffy part of this?

Whiney G. Weingarten, Monday, 16 June 2008 23:05 (seventeen years ago)

amy is fantastic.
duffy is competent, in the same way that museum workers who dress up in tudor clothing and re-enact historical scenes are competent. it's quite disconcerting how little personality of her own she has.
adele is boring, and rather stupid judging from her lyrics.
kate nash is maybe the worst pop star i have ever heard in my life, and i don't understand how anyone can listen to her.

pretty sure I've heard one song from each and it goes "Rehab">>>>>"Chasing Pavements">the Nash one, Duffy lagging well to the back

All of these are preferable to their American counterparts - St. Vincent, Colbie whatever, etc.

milo z, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 00:32 (seventeen years ago)

Colbie's one song is better than everything Adele and Kate Nash have done put together. Faint praise, but true.

I don't mind Duffy. I might have preferred David McAlmont singing most of her songs (especially "Distant Dreamer) but she's fine.

edwardo, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 00:50 (seventeen years ago)

Adele's voice is gorgeous on 'Cold Shoulder' and 'Hometown Glory' she's technically perfect but Wino's got the chops and the boozy blues drugs and romance to back up her songs whereas I just don't believe Adele. As for Kate Nash, I want to punch her in the teeth.

VeronaInTheClub, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 01:40 (seventeen years ago)

I quite like Duffy, then sometimes I don't because she has no personality but her voice is pretty sweet on occasion.

VeronaInTheClub, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 01:42 (seventeen years ago)

Kate Nash does have some big-ass titties though.

big ass-titties

The thing about Duffy that bugs me most is that she's well in control of her voice on record, but it seems to get away from her and completely out of control during the live bits I've seen on tv.
