dog latin, Thursday, 9 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

if this means acen garage tunes (or even just remixes), i just peed my pants.

(are the two unrelated?)

check the link jess. if you've got winamp you can gte a .asx clip. strange that they/he are/is doing 4/4 stuff tho. i assume it the THE acen. can't see why it wouldn't be, what with shut up and dance coming back and making garagae. guess tim knows more about this...

Seeing as Acen had *just started* doing techstep tunes two years ago, maybe he's just heard about speed garage.

This is what moving to America will do to you.

hey!

cooper, Thursday, 9 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

he had a couple of d&b releases in the last couple of years.. both were pretty cack and noone really played them or bought them.. so like dozens of washed up, played out d&b producers before him, he switced to garage and is now taking advantage of the fact that the average garage release is so patheticly poor that even a medicore producer can stand out and make a bunch of $$$

respect the acen!

(hah hah, i shall now put on 74 Minutes of Acen, which I finally found this summer, yay me.)

jess, Friday, 10 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

(actually, most of the 74 minutes is taken up by remixes of "window in the sky," which is ace in my book, but a bit of false advertising. there's one remix where the skipping snares of the opening sound just like garage...premonition of things to come?)

actually, iirc the acen releases on Higher Education from '99-'00 were very well received, especially "118.7" or whatever. didn't pay much attention after that.
