for the last few years pretty much the only place i see music videos on tv is mun2. i don't know what they have on during the day, but the nighttime music shows are all great. nice mix of spanish- and english-language stuff, across rap, reggaeton, rock, pop, club tracks, etc. (seems to me there's way more emo and pop-rock on it now than a year ago, and less hip-hop, which probably reflects something or other.)

like, i just saw this, after a set that included some mexican emo band, kate nash, queens of the stone age, manu chao, ultra nate and "konichiwa bitches."
i also like the little bumper animation for "red eye," with all the flowered blinking eyes.

Unperson/Phil has been mentioning Mun2 on the reggaeton, salsa, cumbia thread for awhile. I wish I had it also. I do not have digital cable and am not sure if I could get that station if I did have digital. Maybe yes, maybe no.

Yeah, I posted a link to that Amandatitita video the other day. I love mun2. My favorite show is "Reventon," which is almost all tejano/norteño videos, a more or less equal mix of all-male bands and female vocalists. I still don't get the love some folks have for Jenni Rivera, but am developing an interest in Graciela Beltran.
I also love their late-night program "El Show," which is smarter and funnier than MTV's been in decades.

yeah those are both good shows. i'm bad about knowing what's on when, i just sort of turn it on randomly. (and often late at night, which is just sort of potpourri.) i know they have some "original programming" too, reality shows and such. i'm afraid it'll go the way of mtv before long. but right now it's my favorite music channel.
