I expect a landslide win for "Amused To Death", but want to rep for the often undeservedly trashed post-Waters Floyd material.

No, it doesn't quite have the "edge" of their 70s material, but they still managed to released two technically brilliant AOR albums with some good songs. I am not claiming it's up with their best, but still good enough to get my vote here. Voted for "The Divison Bell".

About Face for "Murder"

If The Final Cut were on the roster (which it might as well be), I'd vote for that. As it stands, I'm forced to hold my nose and vote for A Momentary Lapse of Reason. To be fair, I've never heard either of Gilmour's solo LPs, so maybe I should reserve my judgement..

Oh hell, I'll be the token vote for Pros and Cons. I went to see the show at Radio City Music Hall (I think Clapton played?) and enjoyed it well enough back at the time, and can still recall bits here and there. Faint praise. During the concert, they did play "Set The Controls For the Heart of the Sun" which pretty much obliterated everything else for me.

murder is the single best song on any of these, but 'on an island' is the best album on the whole

History will vindicate Radio KAOS.

Yeah, it's the only one of these I can imagine listening to for pleasure.

I see your point here, but Gilmour did contribute to it, if not much.

OK. That's about as close as it can possibly get :)

five years pass...

"The Blue" on Live in Gdansk by David Gilmour is really beautiful.

"the blue" is the best song on any of these.
