exotic duets that inspire

Not sure if this has been done before, but can anyone help me to add to my list of classic duets - along the lines of Brigitte and Serge, Nancy and Lee, and so on. Not limited to old pervs accompanying nubile blondes.

Ray Charles and Betty Carter. A whole album's worth of fine songs, but most particularly "Baby, It's Cold Outside." Total steamy nudge-nudge-wink-wink stuff. One of the best songs ever.

Not actually a duet, but Beaver and Krause, an experimental electronic type pair, released an album in the early 70s or so that featured a bluesy/gospelly vocalist on at least one cut. I think the LP was called Ghandarva, or something like that. They may have also had something to do with the Performance soundtrack.

Marvin and Tammi (whether Tammi was present or not) were good, as were Otis and Carla Thomas, but there was a gap in class. William Bell and Judy Clay always struck me as vocally better matched. My favourite duet tune ever is by Joe Tex and Mable John (Little Willie John's sister), called The Same Thing It Took To Get Me - they play a married couple who've both let themselves go appallingly and pretty much hate one another.

In country, there are lots of good George Jones/Tammy Wynette duets, but my favourite country pair was Carl & Pearl Butler.

"Making Love (Out of Nothing At All)" - Peabo Bryson and Roberta Flack. Inspires me to turn off the stereo and walk around outside for awhile.

That's an Air Supply song, god help me for remembering. You're thinking of "Tonight I Celebrate My Love For You," I believe.

I am indeed. Hated it so much I pretended it was a different song.
