Curt1s Stephens, Sunday, 29 June 2008 18:42 (seventeen years ago)

"lorelei"

r1o natsume, Sunday, 29 June 2008 18:48 (seventeen years ago)

the middle eight/breakdown bit with the da-da-dums is such a perfect sequence, and gets extra points for being one of the few moments on treasure where it is possibly for regular human beings to sing along to

r1o natsume, Sunday, 29 June 2008 18:50 (seventeen years ago)

Deja Vu?

latebloomer, Sunday, 29 June 2008 19:57 (seventeen years ago)

SO HARD.

aldo, Monday, 30 June 2008 09:19 (seventeen years ago)

"Donimo" because she sings my name in it, and there's damn few songs with my name in it.

2for25, Monday, 30 June 2008 11:08 (seventeen years ago)

It is impossible to compete with "Lorelei." Absolutely impossible.

Alex in NYC, Monday, 30 June 2008 11:25 (seventeen years ago)

I hate this record. It was someone else's. Why do you still listen to this sentimental trash?

cecelia, Monday, 30 June 2008 11:53 (seventeen years ago)

It's between "Beatrix" and "Aloysius" for me.

Rob M v2, Monday, 30 June 2008 12:55 (seventeen years ago)

Why do you still listen to this sentimental trash?

The fact that it upsets you makes me want to listen to it more.

Alex in NYC, Monday, 30 June 2008 14:40 (seventeen years ago)

Cause we like it and it sounds good, dumbass.

Donimo for me.

MaresNest, Monday, 30 June 2008 15:02 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

impudent harlot, Friday, 4 July 2008 13:38 (seventeen years ago)

iiiiivo for me.

jed_, Friday, 4 July 2008 13:47 (seventeen years ago)

I know everyone loves it but this is easily my least favourite Cocteaus record -- I've said it elsewhere on ILM but the obviously artificial drum sound here just grates on me after about one and a half songs.

Sean Carruthers, Friday, 4 July 2008 15:00 (seventeen years ago)

How old are you, if you don't mind me askin'?

Bimble Is Still More Goth Than You, Friday, 4 July 2008 16:03 (seventeen years ago)

this isn't my favorite cocteaus album at all. i still plump for head over heels a lot, i love the crunchy, frostbitten post-punk sound they pull off there that didn't really carry over to their other albums (and a couple of their eps)

impudent harlot, Friday, 4 July 2008 17:42 (seventeen years ago)

Fair enough.

Bimble Is Still More Goth Than You, Friday, 4 July 2008 17:55 (seventeen years ago)
