this is even harder trhan you think.

Frogman Henry, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:01 (seventeen years ago)

"Got the Feelin'g'", easy.

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:05 (seventeen years ago)

Nah, Keep On Movin is a far superior faux hip hop summer jam.

chap, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:12 (seventeen years ago)

Wiggy wiggy
I'ma gettin' jiggy
Open up the door, got the keys to your city

Keep On Moving is a bit overrated but it's still good. I think "DOn't Wanna Let You Go" and "Until The Time Is Through" are a bit underrated.

The only bad single they put out was the Queen one! And I had a thing for Scott. Ah, memories.

edwardo, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:14 (seventeen years ago)

"Got the Feelin'" is way their best chorus.

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:15 (seventeen years ago)

"Let's Dance" because it's really underrated (despite having been a number one); it's like the late re-entry of Britfunk via the side door.

Dingbod Kesterson, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:15 (seventeen years ago)

Keep On Moving was their only decent track.

zeus, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:15 (seventeen years ago)

RONG

edwardo, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:16 (seventeen years ago)

I voted for "Everybody Get Up" because of its endearingly shit rap, and because I want to imagine an alternative universe where 5ive GOT "Baby One More Time" as was intended, and Britney ended up with "Everybody Get Up"... er, oh wait, she kind of did and it was shit.

edwardo, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:17 (seventeen years ago)

"Keep On Movin'" always reminds me of "It's Not Right But It's Okay". That's a good thing.

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:17 (seventeen years ago)

'keep on movin'!

trouble with 5ive is that most of these are ok but each one makes me think of a superior backstreet boys single.

lex pretend, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:19 (seventeen years ago)

There's a great cartoon skid noise at the beginning of Let's Dance as whichever one it is slides in to frame.

chap, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:21 (seventeen years ago)

Anwyay, the point is that the Five greatest hits and BSB's greatest hits with "Incomplete" and "Climbing The Walls" burnt onto the end of it is NEARLY all the late 90s boyband you ever need.

edwardo, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:32 (seventeen years ago)

plus 'be alone no more' and 'bomb diggy' by another level

lex pretend, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:33 (seventeen years ago)

also "same old brand new you" by otherwise useless a1.

Dingbod Kesterson, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:35 (seventeen years ago)

Also, MUCH LOVE for Abs' solo album! "7 Ways" is probably Xenomania's best non-female-fronted song.

edwardo, Thursday, 3 July 2008 00:05 (seventeen years ago)

shoulda called it 5ive 5ingles poll.

Frogman Henry, Thursday, 3 July 2008 00:34 (seventeen years ago)

everytime i'm in camden lately i see these guys buggering around together. but never abs?

(the worst time was when i tried to go the gents in the lock tavern and couldnt get in the fucking door cos there were 3 guys in there trying to give jay a demo!!)

r|t|c, Thursday, 3 July 2008 03:37 (seventeen years ago)

</suzy>

anyway, 'got the feelin'

r|t|c, Thursday, 3 July 2008 03:39 (seventeen years ago)

you know, i was thinking this would be a slam dunk for 'slam dunk' but 'let's dance' is argiung its case well to me right now.

Frogman Henry, Thursday, 3 July 2008 04:00 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

>also "same old brand new you" by otherwise useless a1.

Oh come on! What about "Caught In The Middle"?

Anyway, Let's Dance.

harveyw, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 12:45 (seventeen years ago)

If you're going to pick one A1 song I'll go with "Learn To Fly", or two of Ben Adams' solo songs, "Sorry" or especially "Get Off My Girl".

edwardo, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 13:12 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

Frogman Henry, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 23:23 (seventeen years ago)
