Mark G, Friday, 18 July 2008 14:30 (seventeen years ago)

In the style of John Cage's 4'33".

Neil S, Friday, 18 July 2008 15:47 (seventeen years ago)

Annie from Norway sounds good although a Riot Grrrl album from an all male band would surely be an interesting listen as well....

Geir Hongro, Friday, 18 July 2008 22:33 (seventeen years ago)

Ah, free jazz!

'Barbed wire tequila crossroads Americana', this is almost inevitable, with cameos from Mark Lanegan and Carla Torgerson.

Billy Dods, Monday, 21 July 2008 09:36 (seventeen years ago)

Shakin' Stevens!

Remind me what arsequake was again?

Tom D., Thursday, 24 July 2008 08:53 (seventeen years ago)

yay P, W&S!

now, of course, BG has to find a way to combine the top four together

Just got offed, Thursday, 24 July 2008 08:57 (seventeen years ago)

Arsequake = stuff with bass supposedly so heavy and low that prolonged exposure to it could make you brown yer keks. Forget exactly what bands MM was talking about, but I guess it was World Dom, Buttholes, Swans etc.

NickB, Thursday, 24 July 2008 09:24 (seventeen years ago)

I don't remember World Dom being described as such, I think the word came after they packed.

Mark G, Thursday, 24 July 2008 09:26 (seventeen years ago)

Bobby Gillespie initially had the concept when as an infant his cot was hidden in Lee Perry's bass bins to avoid the Nazis.

NickB, Thursday, 24 July 2008 09:29 (seventeen years ago)

Wow! A four-way tie, just like Eurovision '69!!

Stand by for the Jimmy Shand/Sondheim/Gore crossover with a touch of welcome indie input.

Dingbod Kesterson, Thursday, 24 July 2008 10:18 (seventeen years ago)

Jimmy Shandheim

Tom D., Thursday, 24 July 2008 10:23 (seventeen years ago)

Should guarantee airplay on the Desmond Carrington show, if nowhere else.

Dingbod Kesterson, Thursday, 24 July 2008 10:24 (seventeen years ago)
