Herman G. Neuname, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:25 (seventeen years ago)

hey look it's a corrupted thread started by herman

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:30 (seventeen years ago)

voted se hace. i could really go with any of them except el mundo frio, which never quite caught me.

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:30 (seventeen years ago)

I like el mundio frio a lot. Like you said I could've went for any of them.
And this is only my 2nd corrupted thread!

Herman G. Neuname, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:33 (seventeen years ago)

ps if anyone wants to buy the Remastered Paso Inferior cd get it here http://nostalgiablackrain.seesaa.net/
or from aQ and other distros. It's not limited as far as I know.

Herman G. Neuname, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:34 (seventeen years ago)

Hey, I listened to the Nadie EP this morning! Last night, too. On nice vinyl for cheap thanks to somebody somewhere. Favorite is probably Llenandose de Gusanos.

contenderizer, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:37 (seventeen years ago)

A lot of Corrupted stuff is to be reissued supposedly.

Herman G. Neuname, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:40 (seventeen years ago)

And this is only my 2nd corrupted thread!

i know, dude, just kiddin

I GOT LLENANDOSE FOR FOUR BUCKS ON EBAY. that's like the best thing that ever happened to me thanks to ebay.

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:42 (seventeen years ago)

Llenandose was the first thing I ever heard by them, but I'm probably gonna vote for Paso Inferior (CD version).

unperson, Thursday, 7 August 2008 16:06 (seventeen years ago)

llenadose. paid more than 4 bucks for it tho

adam, Thursday, 7 August 2008 17:15 (seventeen years ago)

Probably "Se Hace Por Los Suenos Asesinos", but this is a good reason to go back and listen to them all. Just to check.

krakow, Thursday, 7 August 2008 20:46 (seventeen years ago)

You don't need a reason to listen to Corrupted!

Herman G. Neuname, Thursday, 7 August 2008 23:32 (seventeen years ago)

20 buck spin have the Paso Inferior cds in stock now so you north americans can get it there.

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 8 August 2008 12:13 (seventeen years ago)

ILX System, Tuesday, 12 August 2008 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

ILX System, Wednesday, 13 August 2008 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

Se Hace loses out since hardly anyone could vote for it since the poll went wrong

Herman G. Neuname, Wednesday, 13 August 2008 23:02 (seventeen years ago)

The Corrupted poll got corrupted.

Boom boom!

Wish they would play scotland

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 11 September 2008 00:46 (seventeen years ago)

I wish this poll hadn't broke but I assume there's no appetite for a re-run?

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 11 September 2008 12:26 (seventeen years ago)

wait til they put out another album. 2015 or so.

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Thursday, 11 September 2008 13:41 (seventeen years ago)

fyi:: profound lore still has stock of "Paso Inferior" available on cd for $12usd for north america and $15usd row.

drone/a/sore, Friday, 12 September 2008 02:12 (seventeen years ago)

Come see them live in USA on the west coast this November. I booked 8 very special shows for them with Asunder.

Nate Carson, Friday, 12 September 2008 03:15 (seventeen years ago)

Ah, I see someone already posted the preliminary flier. Thanks drone/a/sore!

Nate Carson, Friday, 12 September 2008 03:16 (seventeen years ago)

np

looks like i might have to road trip down to seattle.

drone/a/sore, Friday, 12 September 2008 05:40 (seventeen years ago)

one month passes...

tell them they have fans on east coast too

eman, Sunday, 12 October 2008 08:26 (seventeen years ago)

I most certainly will! I am very aware of that and hope that this west coast trip can encourage them.

Nate Carson, Sunday, 12 October 2008 09:32 (seventeen years ago)

:)

West coast tour has been a smash. One of the best bands I've ever seen.

I think they're definitely feeling encouraged about the US now.

:)

My mate saw them in Portland. He said they were great. He actually saw them before in Japan when he was living there.

is it worth re-running this poll (without pics so the options dont disappear)?

Best CORRUPTED Album (re-run so all options show this time)

one year passes...

So good news & bad news..

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 6 July 2010 14:25 (fifteen years ago)

Good News: New album out this year.

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 6 July 2010 14:25 (fifteen years ago)

Bad News: Hevi has left the band.
Does this mean corrupted will be instrumental from now on?

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 6 July 2010 14:26 (fifteen years ago)

Not Sure About News: Apparently Corrupted have gone in a more "noise" direction. (is that why Hevi left? musical disagreements?)

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 6 July 2010 14:27 (fifteen years ago)

Good News: It's still going to be Corrupted, have they ever let us down?

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 6 July 2010 14:28 (fifteen years ago)

one year passes...

this poll is now irrelevant since the new album is their best, total mental madness off the gd hoooook bro.

marc iv, Saturday, 24 September 2011 23:12 (fourteen years ago)

Wouldnt say its their best but it is terrific. Guess as its not as heavy some may like it more

Armand Schaubroeck Ratfucker, Saturday, 24 September 2011 23:17 (fourteen years ago)

well tbh I have not yet listened to all their albums but i started with the two that won this poll, and IMO it is greater than they.

as for heaviness I suppose that the bulk of it is not, but the third track is mega-heavy dude.

marc iv, Saturday, 24 September 2011 23:23 (fourteen years ago)

finally listened to the new one. it's been busy and I wanted to do it right.

anyway, it's quite good. I think I will end up ranking it over el mundio frio but over the rest with llenandos always on top.

personally I just prefer the tectonic dynamics of the llenandos/se hace era or the noisy sludge of paso inferior/most of the singles to the slow burn this one has going on. don't want to sound too harsh but the immense catharsis of the older material is largely gone and I'd be lying if I didn't say that I missed it.

still, as always, these guys are so focused. everything is just so deliberate on here, it's really impressive. perfect for fall weather too.

can't imagine what they will sound like without hevi (instrumental?) but this is a fitting way to go out.

original bgm, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 20:30 (fourteen years ago)

that should read "over el mundio frio but under the rest with llenandos always on top."

original bgm, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 20:34 (fourteen years ago)

this new one is really gorgeous napping music.

I will cosign this post, this new one is fucking great. Definitely not their heaviest moment, no, but just such a ride. Love it.

jon /via/ chi 2.0, Monday, 14 November 2011 16:44 (fourteen years ago)

it's a great album

(Algerian Goalkeeper) Vs (Armand Schaubroeck Ratfucker), Monday, 14 November 2011 18:53 (fourteen years ago)

It really is. I included it in my Wire year-end Top Ten.

that's not funny. (unperson), Monday, 14 November 2011 19:55 (fourteen years ago)

and the fact its maybe not their absolute best just shows how great a band they are, as it really is a great album. A band who has never let me down.

still love the latest one so much.

Not sure which is the most up-to-date Corrupted thread but the 1999 Dios Injusto EP appeared on Bandcamp today: https://corrupted1994.bandcamp.com/album/dios-injusto A glorious hateful racket it is, too.

Assuming they're going to slowly digitise everything?

I would prefer not to. (Chinaski), Sunday, 2 June 2024 20:52 (one year ago)

Assuming they're going to slowly digitise everything?

That would be amazing. I've always wanted them to release a compilation of all their splits and EPs and compilation tracks and whatnot.

Instead of create and send out, it pull back and consume (unperson), Sunday, 2 June 2024 21:26 (one year ago)

Yeah and Bandcamp/the digital sphere in general is absolutely the best way for something like that to happen these days.
