Both 'too little too late' and 'about damn time.'

Hm. I wonder if this means the major labels' discussions with eMusic are dead. The parties apparently had been talking about bringing select items from the big labels' back catalogues to eMusic, but this "Lost Tunes" store seems to be doing exactly that, from a separate platform.

i think of them as my small local record store.

eg. http://www.losttunes.com/productdetail.aspx?pupc=00731451017025

umm not rare at all, £3 in fopp.

i dont get the point of this site, or is it that this stuff is genuinely not available via other DL stores ?

ooh hang on.
its not all of the albums, just a few (134 so far) that are not available elsewhere.

it's a nice selection, I must say. Ned OTM: before I go to the blogs, I see whether the labels want to sell me a record - on iTunes or eMusic. if they don't, I feel free to take it where I can find it. but they've waited so long that most people will have become used to sharity blogs; they might have gotten money for some of these if they'd acted quickly, but I suspect that people will resort to "the artist won't see any money/is dead" etc rationalizations quickly before wanting to learn the new habit of paying for something they're accustomed to getting for free.

Is everything on this site supposed to be unavailable elsewhere? I see lots of stuff that's also on iTunes and eMusic, e.g., Talk Talk's Laughing Stock and a bunch of reggae stuff.

The layout looks a bit like eMusic to me. It's a nice presentation.

Ah! Got it. Thx.

the prices seem waaaay high, e.g. the Go-Go's _Beauty and the Beat_ for £8.

Do you pay that much for a new cd in the UK? On amazon in the US it's $8 new.

fifteen years pass...

I don't know where to put this, surely there must be a "lost studio tapes" thread?
