"wave of mutilation" is a perfect sign of why the pixies of that period sound as I think kris said once like an awful metal band. they've got the right title and it doesn't even come out the best metal song of all time!

I just did a quick survey of nu and sorta metal, they are much more likely to go with the one word song title, though they do occasionally show homage to classic song titles, eg: "points of authority".
