There's a sword fight going on in the background on one of the tracks on "Raw Power", can't remember which one though. Iggy mentions it in the liner notes of the 1997 remix. You'd be more likely to actually hear it on the original Bowie mix though.

is there a high on fire song with sword sounds or is that just my fevered imagination?

OK, got it... "I had eight guys recording a sword-fight on 'Search and Destroy', you can kind of hear it on the original mix, this funny metal sound [...] So we got some old sabres from an antique store and did sword-fighting. And that maybe was a little unnecessary production touch which I think we took out of these new mixes."

(xxxpost) I read it in the liner notes when I bought the remix CD a few years back, and it stuck in my mind as being a bit "wtf?". I have to admit that I hadn't heard the original mix since buying the remix. But just now I got out my 12" of RP and I can't hear the sword fight, unless it's that "bish bish bish bish" sound which is clearest at the beginning just as the guitar comes in, but that sounds more like a small cymbal.

I think there is a sword sound in a Fenn O'Berg track that they sampled from Soul Blade on psx, which is pretty cool
