I love this band, and like this song a lot. There were some other outstanding pop songs on that disc, too.

As a kid I loved the chorus and didn't care for the verse. As an adult I love the verse and hate the chorus.

Good grief, it's a classic. Cool video too if I recall correctly.

Their cover of The Smiths "Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want" is classic, too. Otherwise I found their debut album aged very, very poorly.

Some country band (Sugarland?) Covered and it's making the rounds on the country station round here

Listening to their three albums today. Admittedly a fan, stunned all over at the level of quality over all three albums. Not a clunker to be found. Will have to search later for any activity from the members, as I don't see anything newer than _A Different Kind of Weather_ popping up here. Funny the memories coming up, like "Bound to Be" off the first immediately popping a-Ha and This Mortal Coil into my head, due to old cassette tape bookends.

Never heard Channel light Vessel Automatic or whatever Kate's side project was called but I love the Shipping Forecast.

Channel Light Vessel included my man Bill Nelson - and yet it was still fairly dull aside from a track or two.
