The Groupie Central message board contributors think so, and despise her for it.

It's sometimes entertaining (and sometimes alarming) to see which musicians' names come up on that message board.

Do I count as a groupie if the musicians I've met and tried to snog haven't responded?

That Groupie Central message board is a riot, especially how they beat of Bebe Buell... I've never heard of alot of the bands they're into now... Who the fuck is Coal Chamber?

I like some of the styles in these mags... The model on pg. 210 of the PDF (“Used Guy Lot”) looks very modern/2019 to me (except for maybe the scarves and other accessories).

Unless I’m missing some heavy subtext, this “notorious” publication seemed like a pretty tame/generic, low-budget teen mag... even the interview with an actual “groupie” was PG-rated.

It's not graphic but I mean, it's a 'PG rated' interview with two teenage girls who are giving advice on how you need to be "sleazy looking" and "make kissie" with everyone around the band, no matter how old, if you want to enjoy the "pastime" of sleeping with a slew of older rock stars.

I'm sure you can find worse stuff online all day long today but I think it was p outrageous in its time.

They never seem to actually mention sex (in a literal sense); of course it’s obvious to anyone over a certain age what’s going on.

Yeah, it was all a bit coded but I expect people got what she meant when she said she liked to call her girlfriends and brag about who she was with the previous night; certainly enough did that the magazine was cancelled due to complaints.

Pretty reprehensible that this kind of thing went on and people thought it was OK

I guess it was a weird interim period between the “old” sexual morality and the new one? So things were still being negotiated?

I mostly scrolled to the album reviews - ziggy stardust, transformer, dark side of the moon

The movie reviews are pretty good
